Effective May 15, 2015, the central laundry service will no longer be available. Free self-service laundry facilities are located throughout the campus for students. Learn more.

The centrally located Lula Bell Houston Laundry is a unique staple of Davidson College life, providing bed linens, wash, dry and fold for clothing and wash, dry and press service for dress shirts. The building also contains additional washers and dryers for student use and offers dry cleaning and alteration services at a discounted rate.

Built in 1919, the mandatory laundry was initiated by the college that academic year for "hygienic and other reasons." It was named for Lula Bell Houston, laundry employee for 57 years, upon her retirement in 2004.

Visit the website for a full description of the services available.
