Background

I'm a Mellon Post-Doctorate Fellow, and I have been teaching elementary Arabic courses at Davidson since the fall of 2012.   My interests include teacher's pedagogy, classroom instruction, language and culture and curriculum theory design. I am working to publish a book to be used in teaching advanced Arabic conversation.

My publications include: "Teachers instruction and class intervention," in the Journal of the Macro-theme Review: a multidisciplinary journal of global macro trends (March 2013); and "Scaffolding learners through activities: A case study," in the Journal of  Social Sciences and Behavioral Research (Jan. 2013); as well as several articles published for the National Ethics Center.

I also participated in a Research Ethics Education workshop hosted by Centre College, Trinity University, and Davidson College, and supported by the Associated Colleges of the South.

Teaching

I will be teaching elementary Arabic through the Spring 2014 semester.
