The Asian Studies concentration provides students with a coherent, interdisciplinary introduction to the history, cultures, economics, and politics of this dynamic region. The Asian Studies concentration offers students the chance to receive transcript recognition for completing an intensive course of study in one of two tracks:

The Asian Studies concentration is administered by the Asian Studies Advisory Committee. The faculty liaison is Prof. Shelley Rigger. Interested students should contact Prof. Rigger to enroll in the concentration. If a course substitution is desired, the applicant must explain in writing the reason for the request. Certification of completion of all the requirements for the concentration is made by the Registrar upon the recommendation of the Asian Studies Advisory Committee.
