I currently teach courses in general and inorganic chemistry, but have taught organic chemistry in the past. My research is focused on synthetic organometallic chemistry, which is in the intersection of organic and inorganic chemistry. Currently, I am synthesizing two different types of little used ligands: a tetradentdate nacnac ligand and a tridentate phosphonium ligand. I will also be exploring the ability of these ligands to support catalytic activity at metal centers.
