Application Process

The Communication Studies Advisory Committee administers the Communication Studies concentration with Professor Kathleen J. Turner serving as faculty liaison. If you are interested in pursuing the concentration, you should contact Professor Turner as early as possible to discuss curricular options.

You'll need to submit a written application (DOC) to the Communication Studies Advisory Committee by the last day of classes in the fall of your junior year. Your application specifies the courses you plan to use to satisfy the concentration requirements. If one of your proposed electives is an independent study, you'll need to provide a complete description of that course for the advisory committee's approval prior to the term of enrollment.

Certification of completion of all the requirements for the concentration is made by the registrar upon the recommendation of the Communication Studies Advisory Committee.
