I teach all levels of French language and courses in French literature with an emphasis on poetry.

I've taught French at Davidson for more than 40 years. I've studied in Paris and worked in Montpellier, France. My research interests include poetry, critical thinking and language, the visual arts and poetry, user experience in literature and the Web, and environmentally-friendly development. In addition to my work here at the college, I have built sustainable, environmentally-friendly neighborhoods and 200-plus acres of parks in Davidson.
