Background

My primary focus is philosophy of mind, ethics, and philosophy of language.

I address a range of issues in these areas in a series of articles on the mind-body relation, functionalism, pain, pleasure, emotion, and Wittgenstein's private language discussion. I also examine some purported relations between language and skepticism.

I've published in journals such as Philosophical Papers, Philosophical Studies, Canadian Journal of Philosophy, and the Australasian Journal of Philosophy.
