Abby Jones

Abby began her career on the admission staff as a senior admission fellow while attending Davidson. Following graduation with a B.S. in psychology, Abby spent two years as an admission counselor. Abby then left to pursue her M.S.Ed. in higher education at the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation from Penn, she served Davidson for two years as a regional representative from Philadelphia. During the summer of 2015, her alma mater called her back down south. Abby currently represents Davidson on campus as assistant dean of admission & financial aid and director of Diversity Initiatives.

When not busy meeting with high school students and reading their application files, Abby spends her time with friends, doing yoga, dancing (badly), and watching (bad) reality TV. She's also a major foodie and enjoys trying new restaurants - feel free to ask her for Charlotte/Davidson food recommendations!

Favorite Spot on Campus

"A toss up between the Blanche Knox Parker Garden and the Alvarez College Union patio overlooking Richardson Stadium/Smith Field."

Favorite Thing About Our Students

"How you will learn something new and find something in common with each and every one of them. And their passion for Davidson–I love the mutual enthusiasm of bumping into a fellow Davidson grad on the streets of Philadelphia."
