To receive the Patricia Cornwell Scholarship, you must demonstrate exceptional ability and promise in writing.
The award was established by Patricia Cornwell, Class of 1979, author of nine novels which have been translated into 22 languages and consistently on the best-seller lists.
The annual award is $10,000 and is offered to one student in alternate first-year classes (next offered in the class of 2019). The scholarship is renewable as long as you maintain the required grade point average, make expected progress toward your degree, and remain engaged in the writing community. Currently 11 Cornwell scholars are contributing to the literary life at Davidson as editors and award-winning writers.
