W. Olin Puckett Scholarship

For students keenly interested in pre-med and life sciences.

The W. Olin Puckett Scholarship is awarded to students planning to pursue a career in medicine or the sciences and demonstrate exceptional academic distinction.

This award, established as part of the Davidson Scholars Program by David B. Olin, Class of 1964, is valued annually at $15,000. It is offered to one student in each first-year class and is renewable for each of the recipient's remaining three years at Davidson providing minimum GPA and progress toward degree requirements are met. 

Application Process

You must first be an applicant to Davidson College in order to submit your W. Olin Puckett Scholarship Application.

In addition to your application for admission and your scholarship application, you must submit a letter stating your interests, qualifications, and related experience for this award.


This application and the required additional materials should reach our Admission and Financial Aid Office no later than the application deadline for your chosen admission plan (Early Decision I - Nov. 15; Early Decision II - Jan. 2; or Regular Decision - Jan. 5).
