Class of 1960

Registration opens Thursday, April 2!

Mark your calendars for our 55th Reunion, June 4-7. We are hard at work planning the details for our milestone reunion. If you have ideas for what you would like to see during the weekend, please email us.

Review your class schedule to see the numerous activities planned for the weekend. Continue visiting this page for updates as we get closer to the weekend.

Reunion unofficially begins Thursday evening. We will have a very informal gathering in the Town of Davidson. Then Friday morning, the official Reunion Weekend festivities begin: Learn from Davidson faculty and alumni through the back-to-school classes; take advantage of tours of the campus, tours of the Davidson art collection, and tours of the Davidson Farm; then gather for a class reception and dinner. Don't miss this time to reconnect.

Saturday will be another full day with the alumni cake race, a morning gathering just for our class, a conversation with President Carol Quillen, and an all-alumni lunch on Chambers lawn. Saturday evening there will not be college programming. We invite you to spend time with your closest friends or head home – especially for those with a long trip.

We look forward to seeing each of you in June!

Class Gift

For our 55th Reunion Class Gift, we celebrate the many ways '60 supports the college. This includes:

  • All dollars. Whether you give to The Fund for Davidson or a specific scholarship, professorship, or capital project, all money given to Davidson during the current fiscal year (July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015) will be included.
  • All multi-year commitments made this year. Planning ahead allows you to be strategic in your philanthropy and helps the college better predict future revenue. You'll also hear from the college less-you can even choose when to be reminded about making your annual gift!
  • Any good faith estimate of a planned gift. See planned giving options appropriate to your age group.

However you choose to participate, our Class Gift offers a unique opportunity to support the area of Davidson most meaningful to you and say "thank you" to alma mater by making a special gift in honor of your time on campus. Your gift also preserves the Davidson experience for current and future students.

Realizing that the majority of donors choose to support the college through The Fund for Davidson, our class is making a special effort for increased goals of $55,000 and 70 percent participation to The Fund this year. Don't forget to make your gift today!

On Nov. 15, 2014, Davidson launched a $425 million campaign, a goal the college aims to reach in the next five years. Since all gifts, pledges and planned gifts made during the reunion year will also count for the campaign, please visit the Game Changers campaign website to learn about college priorities and to recommend a Game Changer.

If you have questions about your reunion gift, please email the Annual Giving Office or call 704-894-2680.
