The AP/College Board Collaboration is a partnership among Davidson College, edX, a non-profit enterprise founded by Harvard and MIT, and College Board to produce a series of online instructional modules for Advanced Placement (AP) courses in calculus, physics, and macroeconomics.
By making these high quality learning experiences accessible to all, the project helps eliminate barriers to student success. In these respects, the project fits firmly within Davidson's commitment to provide educational excellence and access for all talented students irrespective of financial circumstances. Clark G. Ross, Ph.D.
Frontis W. Johnston Professor of Economics
Ross has been active in Advanced Placement Economics since the inception of the program in 1988. From 1998 to 2005, he served as chief faculty consultant for AP Economics. He currently serves as the co-chair of the AP Macroeconomics Test Development Committee and offers frequent workshops for AP Economics teachers.
Benjamin G. Klein, Ph.D.
Beverly F. Dolan Professor of Mathematics
Klein served as chair of the mathematics curriculum committee for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. For the College Board AP Program for Calculus, he has been a grading leader, a test development committee member, and a consultant for website content.
Laurence S. Cain, Ph.D.
Richardson Professor and former Chair of Physics
Cain served numerous years as grader and table leader in reviewing AP Physics exams and chaired the AP Physics Development Committee and the AP Physics Redesign Commission.
Stephen Davis, Ph.D.
Professor and former Chair of Mathematics
Davis serves on the board of the North Carolina Association of Advanced Placement Mathematics Teachers, and has chaired the AP Calculus Development Committee. He also has served on the AP Calculus Grading team, most recently as chief reader associate.
Patrick Sellers, Ph.D.
Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean for Curriculum
Sellers has taught at Davidson since 2000, and since becoming a dean, has worked to expand the innovative use of technology in teaching, research, and administration.

A member of EDUCAUSE, Kristen identifies current and emerging technologies and works with faculty in the humanities and social sciences to determine those technologies' pedagogical value in the small, residential liberal arts environment.

Packer is senior vice president of the Advanced Placement Program and its associated College Readiness (K-12) programs and services - ReadiStep, PSAT/NMSQT, and SpringBoard.
Research Director, edX
Petersen manages sponsored research and proof-of-concept projects. Her current work includes managing the pilot of MOOC courses being adapted for on-campus learning at San Jose State University and Massachusetts Community Colleges. She also works with the edX team on establishing best practices for course development, design, and support.
Ann Blakeney Clark
Chief Academic Officer, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
Blakeney Clark leads the district's curriculum and instruction and oversees area superintendents and school principals. She has been a principal at elementary, middle and high schools, and has also served as associate superintendent of education services and regional superintendent.
