Garretson Resolution Group Information Session

Garretson Resolution Group (GRG) - Paid Summer Business Analytics Internship  (Rising Junior or Rising Senior)

Company Profile:
Operating at the intersection of insurance, healthcare, and law, the Garretson Resolution Group (GRG) is a neutral provider of services to parties who are settling personal injury claims. As a recognized industry leader, GRG has played central roles in the World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the National Football League concussions settlement, and a number of pharmaceutical and toxic exposure litigations. Business Analytics is a new team within GRG that develops actionable solutions and insights for the company and its clients through robust analysis of our business data. This is most often accomplished by preparing large sets of data, analyzing them through the use of inferential statistics and visualizations, and reporting the findings to the client or stakeholder.

GRG’s Business Analytics team provides an excellent learning environment for students interested in statistics, economics, healthcare, or law. Over the course of the summer, the intern will contribute quality analysis and insight alongside the team and will have the opportunity to make a substantive impact on how the company benefits from its data. The intern’s signature accomplishment will be a capstone project which he or she will be expected to plan, coordinate, and complete by the end of the summer with guidance from experienced analysts. While completing the capstone project, the Business Analytics team will evaluate the intern on his or her flexibility, independence, creativity, and acumen for problem-solving. The internship will be in Charlotte, NC.

Seeking students with substantive coursework in math, economics, computer science and/or statistics, some experience with Excel.

GRG's Business Analytics team provides a dose of start-up culture within an established company. We pride ourselves on being agile, using novel approaches to solving problems, and constantly raising the level of discourse between the business and its data.

This internship is part of the Davidson Innovation and Entrepreneurship Internship Program (DIEP). Application deadline is Feb. 26. Apply in WildcatLink with a resume and a cover letter.
