Have a novel idea or exciting business? Apply by January 29 to compete for investment of up to $25,000 from the Davidson Venture Fund. In the process, you will learn from seasoned entrepreneurs, perfect your pitch, and have the opportunity to compete for seed funding to accelerate the growth of your venture.
Established in honor of Robert L. Avinger, Jr., a member of the Davidson Class of 1960 and professor of economics from 1967-1980, this $10,000 award annually identifies and recognizes one outstanding student from the rising sophomore, junior, or senior class who shows the vision, qualities and passions of a true entrepreneur and demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit, giving evidence of creativity and energy that will lead to future success in either business or civic engagement. Do you have an innovative idea for social change? Submit the idea to the Ideas of March competition. Applications will be available in spring 2015.
