The 2013 recipient of the Prix de français has demonstrated her enthusiasm for French and Francophone Studies in numerous ways. After spending her junior year studying in Paris and Tours, this year's recipient remained in France on a summer internship at the Clos Lucé, where she developed her senior thesis topic on Leonardo da Vinci's forgotten project for a royal residence at Romorantin.
Upon her return to campus, she became a leader in the French Club, serving as co-president and organizing a number of well-attended events. Working as an assistant teacher this year has inspired our recipient to pursue graduate studies in education, and we congratulate her on her recent acceptance to a master's program at the University François-Rabelais in Tours. In recognition of contributions already made and in anticipation of those to come, thePrix de français is awarded to Sara Simon.
