Four of the eight Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina met on stage at Davidson College for the first time for a live debate two weeks before the May 6 primary.
Greg Brannon, Heather Grant, Mark Harris and N.C. House Speaker Thom Tillis participated in the one-hour event.
Davidson Associate Professor of Political Science Susan Roberts provided commentary and analysis on Capital Tonight, at Time Warner Cable (TWC) News program. Roberts' commentary will be posted to the Capital Tonight website on April 23. Roberts regularly provides political analysis for media outlets including WBT Radio and WCNC TV.
The debate was co-sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and The News & Observer. The Republican primary winner is expected to take on Democratic incumbent Kay Hagan in November.
TWC News will re-air the debate at 11 a.m, April 26, and 6 p.m., April 27, and will make it available on Time Warner Cable On Demand. A full video transcript is available online.
