Charlotte Observer: How Luke Frampton Faced Serious Knee Injury With a Unique Perspective

The Charlotte Observer posted a moving profile of men's basketball recruit Luke Frampton's '21 first year as a Davidson Wildcat... on the bench.

Frampton blew out his ACL in a September practice. But the 6-foot-5-inch, 200-pound guard from Poca, West Virginia, drew on the unique strengths of his family to rise to the occasion of a positive and active role throughout the season.

Coach Bob McKillop was not surprised.

"[Frampton] was a personal recruit for me. I went to see him every chance I could," McKillop said in the article of his trips to see Frampton play for his high school team, the Poca Dots. "I thought he could be that pivotal to our program, how well he fit. His character fit us to a tee."

Which it did, even from the bench. And just wait until next year, said Frampton's graduating teammate Rusty Riegel '18: "Luke is the best shooter I've ever played with...."
