The space has been furnished. The tools are in place. And now, at last, the Davidson innovation/makerspace has an official name. The selection was not easy as we received more than 110 submissions from nearly 40 entrants, including faculty, staff, students, and even alumni. Our deepest thanks to all who participated!

The winner was selected for its connotations of creativity and technological experimentation, and for its neat mesh with Studio D. Congratulations to Mark Sample, submitter of the winning name, and also to our runner-up, "Catalyst," submitted by Ann-Marie Craig.
Thanks again to all who participated, whether it was suggesting a name, serving on the selection committee, or spreading the word... all of us in ITS look forward to showing you all this exciting new venture soon (separate announcement is forthcoming).
