If you aren't "all in," you should be by noon on Wednesday! If Davidson receives 500 gifts by noon on Wednesday, June 4, $100,000 will be given to Davidson by a group of alumni and parents—the challengers.
"This is an incredible opportunity for the Davidson family to work collectively toward a goal that will benefit the greater campus community," said Davidson College President Carol Quillen. "I applaud the challengers for their generous commitment and invite all friends of Davidson to embrace this challenge by donating today. I'm all in for Davidson, and I hope you are, too!"
Sixty percent of alumni chose to give back to the college last year, confirming Davidson's position as one of the leaders in the nation. This statistic means more than the numbers on a page; it proves what many already know to be true—Davidson people look out for one another, and they believe in contributing to the experiences of our current students.
"I can't think of a better way to describe members of the Davidson community than by saying we are 'all in,'" said Joe Logan '77, one of the generous challengers. "We don't do, and have never done, things half-way. We don't do just enough to get by. I encourage you to make your gift today, and I believe I can speak for the challengers when I say we are standing by, excited to see what our community's collective efforts can accomplish in a single day."
