President Carol Quillen's article highlights how one middle school student's leadership started a movement to end the local digital divide.

Inspired by Bailey Middle School student Franny Millen, Eliminate the Digital Divide (E2D) created partnerships with the Town of Davidson, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, local businesses and foundations, the Ada Jenkins Community Center and Davidson College to provide computers, bandwidth and technical training to all families in town who lack fundamental computer access.

Quillen praises how "a single voice can mobilize individuals and organizations from different sectors to achieve together what none could do alone."
