Building on a strong commitment to civic engagement, we have launched the Davidson Impact Fellows (DIF) program. This post-graduate fellowship initiative enables recent Davidson graduates to work with organizations that address critical social issues such as health, education, and the environment. Through this work, DIF Fellows will create and implement solutions to some of the most urgent problems our society now confronts, positively affecting their communities as they learn and develop into effective leaders.
The Davidson Impact Fellows program is a chance for new graduates to work in non-profit agencies after graduation with direct supervision from high-level leaders. Each experience will give the fellow an opportunity to develop his/her understanding of the challenges and efforts that are a part of bringing social change in our communities. In addition, fellows will take on substantial projects for the organizations to contribute to the efforts in a powerful and meaningful way.
Davidson will partner with selected foundations, federations, or other nonprofit organizations to host one or more DIF fellows. These are paid positions (salaries and benefits) with carefully selected nonprofit agencies dedicated to making this a rich experience for the fellow.
Funding for two additional fellowships will be available through a separate application process. The Lilly Foundation will sponsor a fellowship working directly with a faith-based organization. The Williamson Trust will sponsor a fellowship working directly with GLBT issues.
