The information below pertains to applicants from the Class of 2013. The specific dates and instructions for the Class of 2014 will be similar and posted in early November.
The Davidson Impact Fellowship program is designed to give Davidson graduates hands-on experiences of nonprofit work as a career. We are looking for current Davidson seniors who are passionate about working in public service organizations to shape communities and who have the capacity, relevant experience, and interest to work with non-profit or other public service organizations as they tackle critical community issues. Students from any academic major are eligible.
Candidates for the fellowships will go through a screening process in several stages, both on campus and with the host organizations, to ensure the best matches possible between applicants and positions.
This schedule is subject to change. Please check back for updates.
If possible, potential applicants should attend an information session prior to applying to learn about the program and application process. Several sessions will be offered for the program, including several in the fall semester and at least one session in January prior to the deadline.
The process for applying will occur through WildcatLink and by e-mail. Individual job postings will be created in WildcatLink for the positions. The 'Employer' listing will be 'Davidson Impact Fellows' for all of the positions; the job title will include the name of the organization.
By January 31, applicants must submit the following:
In mid-February, if selected, finalists will interview with a selection committee composed of Davidson faculty, staff, and local alumni working in non-profits.
During this final interview phase in late February / early March, selected applicants will interview with host organizations either at their sites or on campus.
In mid-March, applicants become part of the program once a host organization extends an offer to them, and they accept the offer. (Should they decline the offer, they are not guaranteed a placement with another host organization.)
