The Community Impact team works with United Ways to generate new models and solutions or adapt existing ideas and approaches to improve the impact and effectiveness of program or community solutions with a focus on tough, high priority community issues and on the building blocks of education, financial stability and health. The Community Impact team is responsible for facilitating and propelling new ideas that can become products and services for driving community impact and change, as well as generating resources for and engaging individuals in community solutions. This team coordinates across functions at United Way Worldwide (i.e., community impact, resource development and brand/marketing). The team also engages with the staff from the U.S. and International network divisions to facilitate and influence across levels within the United Way network (i.e., local, state national, regional and global) to ensure that ideas get off the ground and have a positive impact in changing conditions in communities.
As the lead associate/impact fellow you will provide research, communications, and project management support to the Community Impact program and the senior vice president of Community Impact. The position is responsible for conducting online research and for analyzing industry trends and market dynamics in United Way's fields of interest to enhance its capacity to lead the network. Duties also include development of information scans and reviews, literature reviews, and background notes on a wide range of community impact and investment questions.
