We offer a variety of services for faculty and staff, including relocation, a rental program, and ownership opportunities.
We own various properties, including 54 rental properties, located on streets adjacent to or within a mile surrounding the campus. We rent these properties to new faculty and eligible administrative staff members. Rental rates are based on an appraised value. Our Physical Plant Housing Office administers the assignment, rates, leases, maintenance, and repair of housing.
Our land lease program reduces the up-front and on-going costs of home ownership, while ensuring an academic community in residency within easy reach of students and teaching facilities. Through the program we are able to reduce the cost of the improved land from the sales price of a home, thus substantially reducing the cost, your down payment, and your monthly payments. As a new employee selected as a result of a national or regional search, you may be granted some reimbursement of normal moving expenses. Specific benefits will be listed in your offer letter, but you can download our Moving Expenses Guideline (PDF) for more information.
