Registration & Forms

The Service Odyssey is open to all incoming first-year students at Davidson College, including transfers. It is a popular program with limited space, so we encourage you to register early. Spaces typically are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, but students who live more than eight driving hours from Davidson get priority in the third full session. 

Once you complete the registration form you will receive a confirmation email with the dates of the session to which you are assigned, or with information about the waiting list (if sessions already are full). To reserve your place in the session, you must mail your payment and all required forms (below) within 10 days of registration.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to those students who already have qualified for aid from Davidson. Awards will be based on the level of need as assessed by the Office of Financial Aid and will be distributed by the Center for Civic Engagement.

If you are interested in receiving aid for the Service Odyssey and you have already qualified for aid from Davidson, please indicate this in the appropriate area on the registration form and submit an initial deposit of $100. You will be notified of the amount of your financial aid award in your confirmation packet, at which time the balance will be due.

Cancellation

If you cancel three weeks prior to the start of your session you will receive a full refund. We will issue a 50 percent refund for cancellations made fewer than three weeks prior to the start of your session, but no refunds will be given for cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of your session.
