All tickets are general admission and can be purchased online, in person at the Alvarez College Union Ticket Office, or via phone. All ticket requests will be filled in the order in which they are received. If for any reason we are unable to process your order, you will be notified immediately. All rates below include applicable taxes and fees.
Save at least 30% off the individual ticket price by purchasing all five shows in the Artist Series AND be guaranteed the best seats in the house for each performance. Season tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 3. Season ticket rates are per person and include one ticket to all five shows.
While all tickets are general admission this season, season ticket holders receive access to special VIP seating zones located in the orchestra center, orchestra boxes, and mezzanine center for each performance. Please note that these VIP sections will open for seating to all patrons 10 minutes prior to curtain time. The deadline for purchasing Artist Series season tickets, as long as seats remain, is Thursday, Sept. 24.
Tickets for individual shows will go on sale beginning Monday, Aug. 31.
As one of the region's finest performance venues, the Duke Family Performance Hall (DFPH) has quickly become a popular cultural resource for the Charlotte Metro area. The 600+ seat proscenium theatre is housed within the Knobloch Campus Center in the Alvarez College Union, creating a seamless relationship between academics, art, entertainment, and college community life. The entrance to the performance hall is located on the atrium level (second floor) of the campus center.
Doors open approximately 30 minutes before curtain time. Tickets are general admission. Season Ticket Holders have first priority to the marked VIP seating areas. All seats become available to all patrons 10 minutes prior to curtain time. As a courtesy to performers and audience members, latecomers will not be seated until a suitable pause in the performance.
Parking is available in the Baker Sports Complex lot with handicap parking available directly behind the Knobloch Campus Center.
C. Shaw & Nancy K. Smith Artist Series performances are accessible to people of all abilities. Ample wheelchair seating is available. The DFPH is equipped with assistive listening devices upon request. With advance notice, we are eager to provide any other assistance needed. Cameras and recorders of any kind are not allowed in the DFPH. Cell phones and beepers must be silenced or turned off. No text messaging please, as it is distracting to fellow audience members.
Parents should exercise discretion in deciding which events are appropriate for their children. Regardless of age, everyone must have a ticket. Please, no babes-in-arms.
All ticket discounts must be taken at the time of purchase, and discounts cannot be combined. Refunds are not offered, except in the case of a cancelled performance. All events are subject to change.
