America needs true leaders now more than ever, writes Davidson College men's basketball coach Bob McKillop in a Charlotte Observer op-ed. McKillop draws on lessons from his nearly 30-year career and advises coaches to develop leaders of substance by teaching players the value of discipline, humility and love.
"Perhaps the most powerful guidance we can instill in our players, in tomorrow's leaders, is to understand that time and love are their two greatest gifts. When you have time, it becomes easier to love. When you love, time stands still. All else follows," McKillop writes.
