The first synthetic turf field on campus, the Carol Grotnes Belk Turf field is home to the women's field hockey team and features grandstands, a soft synthetic carpet field, and lights for night play.

The turf's three layers-carpet on top of rubber on top of cement-make it durable, weather-resistant, and safe. The facility also provides an alternative practice venue for the football team on rainy days with lines marked on the surface for all three sports. The field is named in honor of Carol Grotnes Belk from a gift by her husband, Irwin Belk '45.

Directions

Located at 205 Ridge Road, the field is accessible from Ridge Road off of Main Street heading north from Griffith Street approximately 1 mile. Follow Ridge Road 3/4 mile and you will see the hockey field on your right. You can park in the gravel lot to the left of the field or anywhere else nearby.
