Explore the Outdoors

While students, faculty and staff enjoy exclusive access to Davidson's Lake Campus just a few minutes away on Lake Norman, visitors are encouraged to explore the beauty of the Carolinas on and around campus. Walk our quiet and wooded campus cross-country trails, explore the local Lake Norman State Park, learn to raft at the U.S. National Whitewater Center or hike nearby mountains including Crowders Mountain.

Getting Here

Whether visiting campus by car, train or airplane, we strive to make your travel as convenient as possible. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), the sixth busiest airport in the country, is just 25 minutes away from campus, and offers ample direct flights around the country and world.

What's the Weather Like?

Tucked between the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina and the picturesque Carolina coastline, Davidson is fortunate to experience all four seasons. With winters cold enough to catch a flurry but mild enough to enjoy the outdoors, and spring and fall seasons that shower our campus in vivid foliage, there's no bad time to experience campus.
