Free Speech Speaker Series: Amna Khalid and Jeff Snyder

The Free Speech Alliance is excited to welcome Amna Khalid and Jeff Snyder to Davidson's campus. Ms. Khalid is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She specializes in modern South Asian history, the history of medicine, and the global history of free expression. Khalid speaks frequently about free expression and academic freedom with her Carleton colleague, Associate Professor of Educational Studies Jeff Snyder. Khalid and Snyder have written extensively about threats to free expression on campus and beyond. These threats—including book bans, anti-CRT laws and campus speech codes—come from across the political spectrum.
