Campus Police is responsible for college safety and emergency procedures, vehicle and bicycle registration, and the school's annual safety report.

Providing a Safe Environment

Campus Police Davidson Campus Police officers are on duty 24/7/365. Officers are sworn law enforcement officers and hold the same powers of North Carolina municipal and county police officers.

Campus Crime Stats In accordance with the federal law known as the Clery Act, Campus Police collect information about incidents that occur on campus, in public areas bordering campus, and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled by the college.

Emergency Planning As part of its comprehensive approach to protecting the college community and preparing for any emergency, Davidson has in place emergency response and evacuation plans and an integrated emergency notification system.

Fire Safety Davidson publishes its fire safety records and statistics and has set fire policies, fire prevention equipment, and applied safety measures.

Safety Resources Although the college campus is among the safest places you can be, it is important to remain alert and prepared and to know what to do if you are threatened or attacked.

Vehicle/Bicycle Registration Students, faculty and staff must register their vehicle with Campus Police. Visitors are encouraged to register their vehicle when on campus. Bicycle registration is also available and required.

Parking The college designates parking spots for students, visitors, handicapped drivers and staff. Campus Police will issue tickets for parking violations or, in some cases, will tow vehicles.
