Traditional Series: Zoe and Cloyd

John Cloyd Miller and his wife, Natalya Zoe Weinstein, may be unequalled as contemporary interpreters of traditional music. A grandson of Jim Shumate (NC Folk Heritage Award fiddler), Cloyd’s background is deeply rooted in North Carolina. Zoe’s musical heritage is equally deep, but in jazz and Klezmer in her native Massachusetts. Together, their style combines original folk, old-time, bluegrass and country in a wonderfully original tapestry.
