Davidson College Star Party (Activity Fair, Guest Speaker, Star Gazing)

Come explore the wonders of astronomy and the night sky with your family and friends by by joining us for the 2025 Statewide Star Party at Davidson College!  As always, our events are FREE and open to the public!  

The event will begin with interactive exhibits and games in the Blanche Knox Parker Esplanade between the Dana and Watson science buildings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  The exhibits will be followed by a public lecture in Hance Auditorium at 8:00 p.m and nighttime stargazing on the campus lawn from 9:00 – 10:30 p.m.  Feel free to stay for the entire event or spend just a short time exploring the exhibits or taking a tour of the night sky.  A campus map and directions to each of these locations is on our website.  

In the case of inclement weather, the exhibits and activities will be movedindoors to the Watson Life Science Building.  Due to the nature of astronomy, the stargazing session can only be held if the skies are clear. Updates to the event locations and/or schedule due to weather will be found on the Davidson College 2025 Statewide Star Party.
