Dean Rusk Lecture: U.S. Bunker Diplomacy and Why Ukraine Matters
John Etcheverry retired from the United States Foreign Service in 2023. He is presently the Grants and Contracts Manager for the Educating Character Initiative at Wake Forest University's Program for Leadership and Character. Starting in Ukraine in the 1990s, John spent most of three decades living and working in diverse areas of the Soviet Union, holding assignments in Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Georgia, as well as Iraq and Kosovo.
