Davidson Celebrates Fundraising and Alumni Participation Success

During the 2014 fiscal year, which ended June 30, Davidson secured one of the highest participation rates for all colleges and universities – 59 percent alumni participation! The college raised $60,838,842 in new gifts and pledges to bring talented students to Davidson, create a collaborative environment for research and teaching, and provide programs and opportunities that allow our graduates to transition to lives of leadership and service. That amount also includes a record-breaking $17,018,302 in current support for The Fund for Davidson.

This latter figure represents a 21.14 percent increase in dollars raised over the successful 2013 campaign. The Fund for Davidson enhances current institutional priorities, including funding for scholarships, the academic experience, athletics and the arts. In addition, the college will be able to expand experiential learning programs such as student research and internship opportunities.
