Join Davidson College in Celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day

No one does “kind” better than the Davidson community. We care for, and about, each other and our students – a distinctive quality that our alumni recall and prospective students sense when they visit.
“Kindness is brewing” was the theme of this year’s campus celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 18. There were a variety of opportunities to join together and recognize the kindness and humanity that exists around us.

Celebrated around campus for all members of the Davidson College community to drop by as they were able, events included coffee stations in academic buildings, a build-your-own trail mix bar, cold brew stations, free fruit cups and Bubly seltzer tastings. The Chaplains' Taxi gave rides to students across campus while the Matthews Center for Career Development hosted a LinkedIn "glow-up" drop-in.
The day's finale featured live music from the Davidson Local in the Brown Atrium of the Alvarez College Union along with cookies, tea, and craft activities from the Art Cart.
Members of the community were also encouraged to participate in their own Random Act of Kindness, whether individually or as an office. Actions both big and small have the ability to make an impact here at Davidson. For more information and inspiration, visit randomactsofkindness.org.
