Background

After earning a Master’s in Education Policy and Analysis, I transitioned into local government policy as a Bloomberg Harvard City Hall Fellow. There, I worked on cross-boundary projects involving environmental sustainability, community engagement, and data governance. Insights from the field of education supported meaningful policy interventions and program implementation all along the way.

As a Davidson alumna (Go 'Cats!), I remain personally invested in upholding the high-quality education that prepares students for lives of leadership and service. I teach education policy courses with this powerful purpose in mind and design inclusive classroom environments that champion the success of all students. My research responsibilities are housed under the College Crisis Initiative (C2i). As an undergraduate, C2i offered invaluable mentorship and unique opportunities to engage in higher education research. I am thrilled to support the Initiative’s strategic development, innovative operations, and student mentorship as a member of its leadership team.

My research interests include:

  • Cross-system collaborations between child welfare agencies, schools, and courts.
  • College access and retention of students from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • K-12 harm reduction and trauma-informed classroom practices.
  • Legal and policy interventions in education.
