Cataloging & Acquisitions Assistant

A Typical Day at the Library

I usually start my day processing, cataloging and putting out periodicals that have arrived in the mail. This allows our newspapers, magazines and journals to be out for use immediately. Then, any materials (such as books, videos, etc.) that have been used are received and re-cataloged into our Library of Congress catalog. If there is time remaining in my day, I clean up our ALMA records— editing, adding and deleting records as needed.
