Background
After several years of working in community mental health, I am thrilled to serve students in an academic setting again. In my most recent role, I provided trauma-informed services to children, teens, and families. Having lived in Ecuador, Mexico, and Panama, I speak Spanish fluently, and I enjoy exploring language and culture in the therapeutic process. As a white clinician, I strive for cultural humility in my position and continuously work on growing as an anti-racist clinician.
I am trained in systemic therapy models, and I incorporate various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and experiential therapy techniques, depending on presenting concerns and goals. I am also an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed clinician. I am looking forward to providing care and support to Davidson students.
