Background

In addition to serving as a faculty member in Davidson's anthropology department, I am the Inaugural Director of Archaeology at Beaver Dam Plantation. My institutional responsibilities currently combine teaching and research. 

My regional areas of specialization include the African American Southeast and the British Caribbean. I teach undergraduate courses in anthropological theory, 'race', and African Diaspora archaeology. My cultural heritage work centers on community engagement and collaboration.
