Background

C. Earl Edmondson specialized in modern European and Russian history and published works on Austria in the 20th century, including The Heimwehr and Austrian Politics, 1918-1936 (University of Georgia Press). He and three other scholars wrote Debating the Origins of the Cold War: American and Russian Perspectives (Rowman & Littlefield). Professor Edmondson won the 2001 Thomas Jefferson Award for outstanding service and teaching.
