Background
I began serving as Associate Chaplain and Director of the Davidson Forum in the fall of 2022 after serving at Princeton Theological Seminary in a similar role. My connection to Davidson dates to when I was a high school student in the Love of Learning program founded by the Reverend Brenda Tapia, former Assistant Chaplain at Davidson College.
In my role I get to support students in a variety of ways. I want to highlight a few: I coordinate the monthly inter-Christian worship opportunities we call Wildcat Worship. I co-lead the Interfaith Fall Break Retreat – A Beloved Community in a World House, and planned the first Chaplains’ Office spring break trip to Africa – A Faith and Justice Journey to South Africa.
Most importantly, I hold space for pastoral care and counseling. My door swings on welcome hinges and it is an honor for me walk along side students and all college community members through the heights of joy, depths of pain, and murkiness of questions.
