Background
I am a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in the State of North Carolina. I am also a certified Koru Mindfulness Facilitator. Before joining the Davidson College counseling services staff in 2009, I worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings and as a therapist. As a therapist, I practice from an integrative therapeutic approach that primarily draws on relational-cultural, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral theories within a multicultural framework. My goal is to help individuals feel more comfortable with their emotional experiences and to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. Professional interests include, identity development, trauma, anxiety, academic self-concept, relationships, and working with multicultural and social justice concerns.
