Background
I’m a working documentary filmmaker whose stories showcase the joyful and creative resilience found in niche communities and subcultures.
I received my Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film from Wake Forest University, where I discovered a passion for documentary ethics and history.
I approach all of my projects with deep consideration of the documentary field's extractive history. I’ve won multiple awards for my films, including Best Director for my documentary short, "Welcome to the Dollhouse" (2020), at both the Atlanta DocuFest and Hoosier Films Festival, and Best Documentary at the LongLeaf Film Festival for my feature documentary, "Bloom" (2024).
I believe media impacts the way we relate to our world. Let’s use it to create something beautiful, spark conversation, and provoke change.
