Leland M. Park Director of the Davidson College Library
A Typical Day at the Library
I believe that great libraries build community, and through our leadership and vision, we can enhance student learning and campus life in unique and meaningful ways. As library director, I am responsible for setting our strategic directions, budget allocation, and resource planning. On a typical day, I meet and collaborate with team members, discuss ideas, develop solutions, and make decisions that help to strengthen the organization. I work closely with team members to guide their professional development and support them in their evolving roles. In addition to collaborating with academic partners across campus, I partner with colleagues at the state and national level to advance consortia-wide initiatives.
