Background

As the Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities, I provide leadership to accountability practices, developmental and educational context for student behaviors, and training/outreach to staff who facilitate accountability policies in Residence Life and other areas. I offer resources for restorative justice practices, conflict resolution, and, when appropriate, will assist in student-involved investigations related to organizational misconduct, bias-related incidents, and Title IX grievances. My passion for Student Affairs, and specifically Student Accountability work, lies in working directly with students who need someone in their corner for the good, the bad, and the ugly. I find this field of work to be exponentially important for college-aged humans to learn from any missteps they may take while they have the safety net of the college (and support folks, such as myself) to catch them. My goal for any student who walks through my door is: to leave my office better prepared to be not only an engaged and responsible Davidson College community member, but an engaged and responsible member of our global society.

Outside of the office, I enjoy cooking, watching reality television, listening to Taylor Swift, and spending time with my wife and our two perfect pups!
