For a regular hourly or salaried employee summoned to jury duty or involuntary service as a witness, Davidson continues the salary during the active period. Employees also retain the allowance received from the court for such service.​

Temporary employees are given time off without pay while serving jury duty.

To qualify for jury or witness duty leave, the employee must submit their copy of the summons to serve in Oracle as soon as it is received. In addition, proof of service should be given to the supervisor when the period of jury or witness duty is completed.

Recording Time Off

​Exempt and non-exempt employees must request Jury duty leave in Oracle by adding an absence under Time and Absences. Employees will be required to upload the Jury summons. Supervisors will approve the leave after receiving proof that the employee served Jury duty.
