Led by the vice president for College Relations, the office communicates with external constituencies (alumni, parents, friends, business and industry) about the goals, objectives, news, and events of Davidson and involves these same constituencies in the life of Davidson College.
Campus and Community Relations leads Davidson College's efforts to engage alumni, parents, friends, donors, and volunteers in the life of the college with the goal of increasing understanding of and support for Davidson. It is comprised of Alumni and Family Engagement, Donor Relations, and Friends of the Arts.
The Office of Alumni and Family Engagement connects alumni, families and friends to the college and to each other through formal and informal programs on and off campus.
Donor Relations seeks to strengthen the ties between the college and the community. The office serves those who give their time, money and service to the College, overseeing activities such as gift processing and acknowledgement, donor recognition, reporting and special events.
Friends of the Arts informs and energizes audiences for the arts at the college, strengthens the bonds between the college and the larger community, and serves as a unifying cultural force in the region.
Advancement Operations manages the critical operations and technology required for a successful fundraising team. The team also leads advancement communications and WDAV, the college's classical public radio station.
Advancement Communications coordinates all messaging related to gifts, fundraising, the Game Changers campaign and engagement. Advancement Communications also provides assistance to College Communications for all giving-related coverage.
WDAV 89.9 is a public radio service of Davidson College and is licensed to the college's trustees. WDAV is one of the most highly regarded public radio providers of classical music.
Operations manages the processes, policies and technology that are required to support the fundraising and engagement functions of the college.
The Development Office coordinates the fund-raising efforts of Davidson College and is comprised of the The Fund for Davidson, Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Davidson Athletic Foundation, Major Gifts and Parent programs.
The Fund for Davidson supports the heart of the college by providing students with day-to-day fundamentals like scholarships, library resources, technological upgrades, athletic equipment, and much more.
Cultivates, secures, and stewards external institutional grant funds (scholarships, capital gifts, sponsorships, and matching gifts) for programs that are consistent with college priorities.
The Davidson Athletic Fund exists to raise operating, scholarship, and capital funds to support more than 420 student athletes who represent Davidson Athletics in 21 different competitive NCAA Division I sports.
The Major Gifts Office is responsible for cultivating relationships with alumni and other donors in an effort to facilitate philanthropic investment in Davidson. Major gift officers work with donors who make significant commitments in support of the college's mission. Major gifts establish or supplement endowed funds, support capital projects and fund current operations.
The Planned Giving Office assists donors with a variety of giving methods designed to benefit both the college and the donor.
The Research office provides information to the president's office, development staff, and alumni office with regard to demographic trends, alumni activities, and donor support.
