John Kasich, two-term former Ohio Governor and New York Times best-selling author, will visit Davidson College Monday, Nov. 11. He will speak in the Duke Family Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. with a book-signing afterward.
Kasich will visit students in the classroom during his time on campus as well.
The student-led Center for Political Engagement, which seeks to offer students from across the political spectrum opportunities to engage in respectful and responsible political discourse, is hosting Gov. Kasich.
Before his two terms as governor, Gov. Kasich represented Ohio’s 12th district in the House of Representatives for nine consecutive terms, eventually serving as the chairman of the House Budget Committee. He is a former FOX television host who also argues that unity is the answer to our most common problems.
Kasich is the author of four New York Times best-sellers: Courage is Contagious; Stand for Something: The Battle for America’s Soul; Every Other Monday; and most recently Two Paths: America Divided or United, which reflects on his 2016 run as a Republican primary presidential candidate and his hopes for America’s future. His new book, It’s Up To Us, was released in October.
