Qdoba Mexican Eats Coming to Davidson This Fall

Through surveys, students identified fresh, healthy, nutritious and made-to-order cuisine with bold Tex-Mex flavor as a strong preference and Qdoba was identified as the best match. The Davidson College Dining Services staff will manage and operate the program after entering into a licensing agreement requiring us to meet all standards for Qdoba quality and operations. 

The new dining option will be located in the Stowe Tennis House, directly behind the Knobloch Campus Center. Students will be able to use meal plan Dining Dollars as well as credit cards/debit cards at the location. When Qdoba opens in the fall, the college will implement a new meal plan structure that provides students with plans that are much more Dining Dollar-oriented and, by definition, much more flexible.

Qdoba is one of the top Mexican food franchises in America and is present on dozens of campuses nationwide. The restaurant prides itself on putting a creative twist on standard fare and places a premium on fresh ingredients, including guacamole and pico de gallo made on-site daily, chicken and steak flame-grilled moments before they are served, and slow-roasted meats cooked on premises every day.

Will I be able to use my meal plan at Qdoba?

Yes, Dining Dollars as well as credit cards and debit cards may be used at Qdoba.

Where will Qdoba be located?

In the old Stowe Tennis House located across the street from the north end of the Knobloch Campus Center.

Will mobile ordering be available at Qdoba?

Currently we do not anticipate supporting mobile ordering. Qdoba will be fast and fresh, and we do not anticipate long waits, particularly once we get through the first few weeks.

When will Qdoba be open?

Current plans are to be open 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., 7 days a week.

Will employees be hired and managed by Qdoba or will they be college employees?

All employees will be employed by the college and, as either part-time or full-time employees, enjoy the benefits structure that other employees do.
